How can I retrieve the username and password from my WordPress installation?

I had a developer working on a website. Now I learned a bit of WordPress and I would like to continue some of the work on my own. I asked the developer for the passwords and he only gave me the passwords of the hosting account and not from the wp-admin of the WordPress installation. When I asked about those passwords he told me that he never used the wp-admin panel to develop the website and he doesn’t know about any passwords about it. He refused to tell me also…

SQL returned by Wp_Query has wp_posts.ID = -1

I have a custom loop based on these arguments (below), and for some reason when it’s run, the SQL returned has this fragment: … AND wp_posts.ID = -1 … And I get no results from the db. If I run the query against the db without this fragment, I get the results I need. Could someone, please, point out what’s wrong with argument list that causes this behavior? $args = array ( ‘post_status’ => ‘draft’, ‘posts_per_page’ => 10, ‘category_name’ => $language_sql_param, //fixed ‘meta_query’ => array( array( ‘key’ => ‘review_rating’, ‘value’…

Can you link custom post types to pages?

The reason i ask is because when i create pages they don’t insert the usual name of the post type like CPT’s do. For example if i create a page called toyota the URL would be http://domain.com/toyota, but if i created a custom post type to Enter all the makes one page with custom links to specific pages within my site and say that CPT was called Cars then the URL would look like this http://domain.com/cars/toyota and therefore wouldn’t properly link to the page. Is there any way to work…

Disable domain redirect

Desired behavior: http://www.situationware.com should stay at www.situationware.com, no registration required. Currently wordpress is automatically redirecting to the Amazon hostname ec2-107-22-241-162.compute-1.amazonaws.com, requesting users register, if I update wp-config.php by uncommenting DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE I end up with a redirect loop to http://situationware.com/wp-signup.php?new=situationware.com As you’ll see below I do have multisite installed as was working a few months ago before any upgrades to 3.6.1. I installed the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin, but didn’t help and didn’t hurt. I wasn’t able to add a main site, but domain mapping screen was set. define( ‘MULTISITE’,…

How to reset/remove added filters ‘posts_join’ and ‘posts_orderby’ after the loop is completed?

I am sorting results appear on the category archive page using these filters: posts_join and posts_orderby. There is a widget, which displays recent posts. I am using default recent posts widget of WordPress. But it’s not showing any result. When I investigated I found that the applied filters are getting applied to this query. So, I tried remove the filters using the following code: remove_filter(‘posts_join’, ‘my_filter_join’); remove_filter(‘posts_orderby’, ‘my_filter_orderby’); But still it does not work. I also tried to put the following code in the filter functions itself: // Disable this…
