How to set up User email verification after Signup?

You know how all these websites send out links to their new users for them to verify their Email address? I’m trying to set up something like this but after some research I still haven’t found a good explanation on how to implement this. I’m open for plugin recommendations, however most of the plugins I found have a ton of other features that I don’t really need. Without using a plugin, how would I go about adding this to my code? My approach would be to add a ‘Email not…

Woocommerce tables not responsive mobile

Ive begun to realize that woocommerce tables are the worst for mobile responsive tables. Has anyone had any success with a proper css file where tables are not stacked? I want to just squish the tables. The most plagued tables are in the My Orders page and the cart/checkout… thanks in advance for any help! Source: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/feeds

Product thumbnail size in catalog

I’m converting a site across to wordpress that is heavy on imagery. With the fact the products are art based the original sizes have little to no continuity. Now on the product page itself this isn’t an issue but in woocommerce the catalog mode is thumbnail sizing is all over the place so alignment looks horrible. Complicating the matter is one of the categories products are more shaped like a door being rather tall by comparison so setting a standard one size for all doesn’t work. Were it is just…

Translate pages and URLs without duplicating

I would really appreciate some suggestions about what plugin to use in WP with DIVI editor, to translate my web site and following these specs: do not duplicate pages (that’s really important) translate page URLs, translate page visible text, as well as hidden text (meta tag values), keep in place existing page layouts and elements built with DIVI, Actually I am not sure that is possible, having pages designed with DIVI. I am playing with Polylang, but looks like is not possible to do all I need without duplicating pages.…

Modify Contact Form 7 input value before submission

I’m using Contact Form 7 and Flamingo to create a consultant registration form on my WordPress site. By my client request, every submission need to have a registration code (reg_code) which is a combination of submission date and a random number to make it unique. So I added an hidden input field to my CF7 code with the id « reg_code ». On my first try, I used JS to generate a « reg_code » variable right after users visit my site and set the hidden field value to the generated « reg_code » variable. The…

Timezone Settings: "UTC" and "local" times are incorrect

On the « General Settings » page of my WordPress site, it’s not displaying the correct UTC and local times (see screenshot below). The displayed UTC and local times are wrong. It should say that local time is « 15:52 » I’m running WordPress 4.9.6 and PHP 7.0.30. The default timezone in my « php.ini » file is set correctly–when I call the date() and date_default_timezone_get() functions from a standalone PHP script, they output the correct information. The clock on my Windows web server is correct and is set to the correct timezone. The time displays…

Move plugin-settings to ‘Settings’-menu in the admin

I hate it, when plugins add their own settings like this: It’s cluttered and annoying. Can I somehow move them in under ‘Settings’: I imagined something like, checking if there is a plugin by the given name; and if there is, then remove it from the admin bar, like this (however, this doesn’t work): function custom_menu_page_removing() { // Neither of these two work (the first is the // link, the second is the slug remove_menu_page( ‘admin.php?page=themepacific_jp_gallery’ ); remove_menu_page( ’tiled-gallery-carousel-without-jetpack’ ); } add_action( ‘admin_menu’, ‘custom_menu_page_removing’ ); I then imagined adding a…
