Visited Page Still Being Cached – Cache-Control Header Not Working

So I am trying to solve an issue that has been plaguing me and I can’t seem to figure out the issue. I keep running into a problem where, if a logged out visitor visits my site and views a page before logging in, that same page will show a cached version once logged in if revisited. Basically, woocommerce customers appear logged out only when revisiting that page. I am using the following setup: Woocommerce – Caching with Autoptimize & Edge caching with a Cloudflare worker. I have turned off…

On Turning 40 With An Ancient Heart

In February, I realized that I was no longer sleeping well. On the rare nights that I did rest, my tracker said I went into only 20 minutes of deep sleep a night total. Plus, the hours of light or REM sleep that I did have were punctuated with awful nightmares. After a particularly rough stretch of ugly darkness, my friend Naomi asked to chat one night before bed. I slept soundly for the first time in months. In the morning, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that…

How to filter or remove default panels in Gutenberg PrePublish Panel

I would like to edit the text or remove and re-create the Publish panel of Gutenberg’s PrePublish Panel in the editor sidebar. I know I can use wp.data.dispatch( ‘core/edit-post’ ).removeEditorPanel( ‘example-panel’ ); but it doesn’t seem to work for any panels in editor-post-publish-panel. Any ideas? The background is that I used the slotfill API to insert a timezone select field so authors can use their local times when selecting their publish date time. That all works great, except when they click Schedule and get the publish time in GMT without…

Lazy Pre-Browsing with Prefetch

I’m working with a client at the moment who, unfortunately, has a blocking third party stylesheet that’s needed to successfully render one of their site’s key pages. Until we can design a more long-term solution (and that’s assuming we can at all) that can asynchronously load the file, I wanted to work out a way to minimise its impact. This is a regular <link rel= »stylesheet »> that is, necessarily, defined in the <head>. This means that from a cold-cache, if a user were to land on this page for the first…

I want to develop a wordpress lms website that support woocommerce payment gateways. I’ve found some themes and plugins like: learnpress, wplms and much more Some of them doesn’t support uploading video in website (using third party websites like Vimeo or Youtube) and I don’t want to use them. I want my website instructors upload their video lessons in my website and other users watch them online. Making Cloud.typography Fast(er)

Disclaimers: I was not approached or hired by Hoefler&Co or Cloud.typography to look into any of the following issues. I disclosed all of the below to Cloud.typography and gave them ample opportunity to work together to solve the issues at the root of the problem. There was no appetite from them to do so, so I decided to make it all available for free anyway—a faster web benefits everyone. All of the people I have dealt with seem like really, really nice folk. Nothing that follows is a reflection on…
